COLUMBUS COMMUNITY OF CHARITY
INDEPENDENT OLD CATHOLIC CHURCH
614.253.8980
Reverend Father Anthony Capretta, OFM
Rector
Our Church maintains the Seven Sacraments of Baptism, Penance, Holy Eucharist, Confirmation, Marriage, Holy Orders, and Annointing Of The Sick.
Any baptized Christian of any denomination is welcome to receive the Sacraments. Our Church does not withhold the Sacraments from Christians
for any reason. All Sacraments are available to Christians of any sexual orientation.
Our Church recognizes equally both women and
men serving as valid Catholic deacons, priests, and bishops in apostolic succession. Clergy may be single or married. Celibacy is not mandatory.
We believe in One Creator of Heaven and Earth;
and in Jesus Christ the only Son our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried.
The third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into Heaven, sitteth at the right hand
of The Creator; He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy catholic church;
the communion of saints; forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
We believe Mary is the Mother of God. We believe Mary is Queen of Heaven.
We believe Mary is Miraculous. We believe Mary remained a Virgin.
We believe Mary was assumed into Heaven.

COMMUNITY PURCHASES HISTORIC CHURCH PROPERTY
After a near 3 year search, The Columbus Community Of Charity announces the purchase of a church and school building in Crestline, Ohio. The historic church, formerly the First English Lutheran Church, was established in 1854 and present church built in 1906. Of Romanesque Revival style, the Church is built of Ohio blue limestone featuring towering stained glass windows, a magificent stained glass rotunda, a stately bell tower hosting a 400lb century old bronze bell, and stunning pipe organ. In addition, the purchase also includes an attached education unit built in 1965 featuring several classrooms and offices. The location is now known as Holy Redeemer Old Catholic Church and scheduled to open as a parish in Spring of 2013. Visit Holy Redeemer's website at www.holyredeemercrestline.org .
CHURCH INTERIOR RESTORATION MOVES FORWARD
The interior restoration process continues at Holy Redeemer as extensive
plaster repairs and new lighting installation prepare for its complete interior
painting transformation. The restoration process will compliment the historic Romanesque Revival architecture of the building. The new sanctuary, rotunda, and pipe organ rejuvenation promises to bring to Crestline its most spectacular and sacred space for public worship and artistic performance venues. Pictured right are Ukranian master plaster restoration professionals from the George Neff Plaster & Stucco Company of Columbus, Ohio.
